Return to Previous Page

Product Description

Porcelain small branch candlestick in white bisque made by the famed Nymphenburg Porzellan company. It is handmade in Germany and was designed by Ted Muehling. The bottom is stamped with the company’s logo and chop mark. Dimensions: 8″W X 9″H

Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg has been handcrafting finest porcelain since 1747. Services, figures and objects of the greatest purity – with each piece being unique – are produced using traditional methods at a single location in the world – at the Nördliches Schlossrondell in Nymphenburg. Each plate is turned by hand, each vase cast by hand, each ornament applied by hand – because the machine doesn’t exist that is able to recreate the individuality that may be achieved by hand.

Some models from the around 20,000 designs may only be worked by the craftspeople after they have spent decades refining their techniques and training. Other objects consist of thousands of individual pieces and require the coordination of skills from almost 20 different trades. The wealth of experience and specialist knowledge are passed down from generation to generation – because such artistic work is only possible with this kind of continuity.
