Amanda Sterett |
Amanda’s company is founded upon a philanthropic vision. All of her work is made by the hands of women who have traveled to the US in search of a new life. Employed by Amanda through the Catholic Charities of Dallas, they make each design upon order right in Amanda’s studio. In addition to providing jobs, Amanda gives back and donates over 150 designs years to various schools and organizations.
Amanda comes from an artistic background. Her father is a sculptor and painter. Her grandmother collected jewelry from all parts of the world, which Amanda inherited and used as her inspiration for launching what is today, her vastly growing jewelry business.
With a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Amanda was recruited by Ralph Lauren’s corporate division where she worked for 6 years. Following her Ralph Lauren career she took a jewelry design workshop where in just three hours of participating Amanda learned enough to begin her own style of designing and creating jewelry, continually improving and evolving her technique. She creates “what she wants to wear” completely by hand. Attracted by her quality, use of color, innovative designs, and hand-made work, stores appreciate her unique craftsmanship.
Her designs have been selected and sold through stores such as: Anthropologie, Kate Spade, Neiman Marcus CUSP, Calypso, Red Envelope Catalog, Sundance Catalog, The Golden Bear Catalog, Arhaus Catalog, Endless.com, Amazon.com, and amongst several high-end boutiques globally. Amanda has made two personal appearances on the Home Shopping Network with Colleen Lopez and her work has been featured on CBS' Price is Right on several occasions. It has been seen on celebrities from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and The View television show, to name a few, in addition to several notable presses, such as InStyle, Martha Stewart Bridal, Cosmopolitan, and Real Simple. Amanda was nominated four years in a row for "Best Jewelry Designer in Dallas" by D Magazine and won for 2010 and 2011. Also voted “Best of Dallas” in jewelry designing for 2009 by D Modern Luxury Magazine, and awarded “Fresh Face of Fashion” by D Modern Luxury Magazine for 2011.
