Industrial designer Jacob Jensen founded his studio in 1958, eager to change the face of industrial design by implementing two of the most prominant 20th-century design schools, the European Bauhaus-traditions of form follows function and American designer Raymond Loewys' MAYA principle: Most Advanced Yet Acceptable.
